Obituary of Thomas Stroud Arnett

Mr. Thomas Stroud Arnett, 66, of Ariton, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at his home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A. M. Thursday, December 7, 2017 from Bethel Assembly of God Church in Ariton with Pastor Jeff Downing officiating. Interment will follow in Holmes Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mr. Arnett was born August 6, 1951 on River Road in Ariton, where he resided his entire life. He worked with Easterling Fish Hatchery for forty-six years. Mr. Arnett attended Bethel Assembly of God Church in Ariton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlies Emmett Arnett and Mary Odell Nance Arnett; and one sister, Carrie Louise Carroll.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Nellie Johnson Arnett; one daughter and son-in-law, Angie and David Reisch; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry and Tameshia Arnett, and Randy Arnett; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Marcia Arnett, Roger and Barbara Nance; eight grandchildren, Justin Jones, Austin Arnett, Britany Reisch, Justin Kennedy, Mason Arnett, Kaitlyn Reisch, Hollie Arnett, and Mallory Arnett; two great grandchildren, Allee Jones and Gracee Jones; his employer and special friend, Reverend William B. Easterling. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ariton Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 183, Ariton, Alabama 36311.
