Obituary of Imogene Condrey Matthews

Mrs. Imogene Condrey Matthews, 75, of Ozark, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Thursday, November 16, 2017, from Southside Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Bynum officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Thursday morning from 9:30 A. M. until service time. Mrs. Matthews was born March 24, 1942 in Henry County, Alabama to the late Herbert Franklin Condrey and Nora Lee Kirkland Condrey. She worked with Westex for twenty years until her retirement. Mrs. Matthews was an active member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a very caring person and loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sally Ann Allen. Survivors include her husband of thirty-eight years, Elbert Matthews; her twin sister, Christine York (Alton); her sister, Sarah Hodges; three brothers, Edward Kirkland (Mary), Sam Condrey (Jewel), and Kenneth Condrey; and her brother-in-law, Allen Matthews. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southside Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 902 Hwy 123 South, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
