Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Stokes Zajac, age 66, of Shorewood, Illinois, formerly of Ozark, died Monday, July 17, 2006, in Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. A memorial service for Mrs. Zajac will be held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, July 23, 2006, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend Ken Pilkinton officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P. M. Sunday until service time. Mrs. Zajac was born in Ozark to the late Mamie and Roy Stokes. She lived in Westmont, Illinois for twenty-five years, and in Shorewood, Illinois for the past eleven years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mamie and Roy Stokes, her son, Michael Roy Zajac, and her sister, Elaine Stokes Pilkinton. Survivors include her husband, Norbert Walter Zajac of Shorewood, Illinois, her daughter, Christina Cherry and her husband, John of Naperville, Illinois, her grandchildren, Matthew and Samantha, her sister, Barbara Stokes Fisher and her husband, Bill of Ozark, and her brother, Jack Stokes and his wife, Jean of Ozark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 1332 North Halstead Street, Suite 201, Chicago, Illinois 60622. Service Information
