Mr. Hagler was a native of the Peniel Community of Dale County and lived most of his life in the Salem Community, where he attended the Blue Springs School. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Mattie Johnson Hagler, sister, Evie Hagler Spivey, brothers, Durwood Hagler and Edward Hagler, grandsons, Jeff and David Hagler, daughter-in-law, Ruth Arrington Hagler.
