Obituary of George W. Childree

Mr. George Washington Childree, age 68, of Ozark, died Tuesday evening, June 15, 2010.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, June 18, 2010, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend William Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Thursday evening.
Mr. Childree was born February 22, 1942 in Dale County to the late Elder Ray and Sula Simmons Childree. He served in the United States Army and worked as an aircraft mechanic with DynCorp at Fort Rucker for over seventeen years.
Survivors include three daughters, Angie Shlam, Amy Wicker, and Sommer Thomas all of Ozark;
two sisters, Lorene Morgan and Sally Leatherwood of Ozark;
one brother, Norris Childree of Ozark;
and several grandchildren.
