Mr. David Morris Garner, age 32, of Ozark, died Sunday April 19, 2009, in Alta, Utah following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, April 24, 2009, from the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with Reverend Dr. Christian Eckert officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. His body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Garner was born December 16, 1976 in Ozark to Linda Kay Morris Garner and the late James Earlly Garner. He was a 1995 graduate of Carroll High School and served for two years in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He had worked in Moab, Utah for several seasons as a tour guide, and had lived there for the past six months. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Kirby Garner. Survivors include his mother, Linda Morris Garner; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James Jr. and Tammy Garner, Tim and Nicole Garner; four nieces, Kayla Garner, Haley Garner, Elizabeth Garner, and Gracie Garner; two nephews, Benjamin Garner and Grant Garner all of Ozark; a very special friend, Sarah Barlow of Moab, Utah; sister-in-law, Haiden G. Woodall. Several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
