Obituary of William Martin Sullivan

Mr. William Martin "Bill" Sullivan, Sr., age 75, of Ariton, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at his home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, November 8, 2011, from Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend Paul McMonagle and Ron Jackson officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 9:30 A. M. until service time.
Mr. Sullivan was born October 18, 1936 in Dale County to the late Tony O. Sullivan and Edna Lee Dupree Sullivan. He graduated from Newton High School and joined the United States Navy where he served as an electricians mate aboard the USS Piedmont. He managed Sessions Building Supply in Ozark. Mr. Sullivan owned and operated Bill's Feed and Seed on North Union Street in Ozark, Bay Van and Storage, Craft Corner Wholesale, and Fort Rucker Florist. Mr. Sullivan raised Tennessee Walking horses, farmed, and enjoyed bird hunting and fishing. He was a member of Rocky Head Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Loren Shawn Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Willoughby Sullivan of Ariton;
two sons, William Martin Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Ann of Ozark, Antony Martin Sullivan and wife, Mona of Ariton;
two step daughters, Jenny Hutson and husband, Ryan of Ariton, Ellen Blades of Manassas, Virginia;
grandchildren, Tyler Sullivan, Josh Sullivan, Kendle Sullivan of Ariton, Mikaela Fehrin Sullivan of Ozark, Colton Hutson of Ariton.
