Obituary of Lillian Howard Heiss

Mrs. Lillian Howard Heiss, age 79, of Ozark, died Friday evening, August 22, 2014, in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Monday, August 25, 2014, from the Ozark Presbyterian Church with Reverend Frank C. Ellis, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mrs. Heiss was born November 7, 1934 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Ezekial Matthew “Zeke” Howard and Laura Wilhemenia Leukering Howard. She worked as an accountant until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, William C. G. and Ella Trampe Leukering, Joshua and Seretta Howard; her granddaughter, Sara Catherine Norsworthy; two sisters, Seretta Howard Evans and Theresa Howard Phelps; and three infant brothers.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Jack Norsworthy of Glenwood, AL;
one son, John Thomas Heiss of Ozark, AL;
three grandchildren, Aimee N. and George Sellers, Sofia and Alex Heiss Brushaber, Noah Thomas Heiss,
three great grandchildren, Sara Helen Keeney, Kiera Jane Keeney, and Nathan Sellers.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.
