Obituary of Michael Phillip Murray

Mr. Michael Phillip Murray, age 25, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, formerly of Ozark, died January 24, 2010 in Stillwater.
A mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday, January 30, 2010, from St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Reverend Paul Egbe and Deacon John Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Friday evening.
Michael was born April 26, 1984 to Charles L. and Sharon Segars Murray. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 18, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Carroll High School in 2002, where he was very active in the musical theater program, and Wallace College School of Nursing. He worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Ozark, New Orleans, and Nashville. He served as a Counselor and Medic at The Boy Scouts of America's Camp ALAFLO for many years. He was currently living in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he was working as an Insurance Agent. Michael was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church and for many years was an Altar Server. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John M. Segars; his paternal grandfather, Charles L. Murray Sr.; and his triplet siblings, Peter, Paul, and Katherine.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Sharon Murray of Ozark;
maternal grandmother, Sylvia R. Segars of Ozark;
paternal grandmother, Gloria L. Aris of Midlothian, Virginia;
his twin sister, Melanie Murray of Pensacola, Florida;
sister, Erin Murray of Ozark;
brother, Stephen Murray, his wife Amanda and their son Drew, of Ozark;
his fiance Morgan Clayton and her son, Aidan Ivey, of Stillwater, Oklahoma;
his ex-wife and dear friend, Lindsey Murray of Jackson, Tennessee;
aunts and uncles, Susan and Ron Woods of Ozark, Susan and Keith Carter of Abbeville, Lynn and Joe Giusto of Taylor, Texas, Margaret and Brian Childs of Chesterfield, Virginia, and Kevin Murray of Ozark.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Alabama-Florida Council, 6801 West Main Street, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
