Mrs. Dorothy "Dottie" Thompson Woodham, age 74, of Ozark died at her home Sunday, February 1, 2009 following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from the St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with the Reverend Paul Egbe and Deacon John Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be at the funeral home parlors Monday, February 2, 2009, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P.M. Mrs. Woodham was a native of Meade County, Kentucky, graduating from high school in Flaherty, Kentucky. She worked 34 years with Civil Service at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Fort Rucker, Alabama before retiring. She also worked six years with the Dale County Revenue Commissioners Office. She enjoyed camping with her husband, working crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle player. Dottie, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She attended St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark. A daughter-in-law, Nancy Woodham, and sisters, Margaret Mary Smith and Deloris Yamrus, and a brother Mickey "Melvin" Thompson preceded her in death. She is survived by Her Husband of 57 years, Homer Woodham, Jr. of Ozark; three sons and their spouses, Richard Gary Woodham of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Douglas Homer (Susan) Woodham, Hudson of Florida, and Christopher Todd (Ann) Woodham of Ozark; three sisters, Betty Ann (Dave) Powers of Louisville, Kentucky, Wanda (Hugh) Martin of Brandenburg, Kentucky, and Sandra "Sandy" (Robert) Wilson of Garfield, Kentucky; three brothers, Bobby Thompson of Calvin, Ohio, Freddie Joe (Bonnie) Thompson of Big Springs, Kentucky, and Bernie Thompson of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Mary Leighann Wilson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Richard Gary Woodman, Jr., Robert Alan Woodham of Louisville, Kentucky, Rebecca Lynn, James Christopher and Ashley Marie Woodham of Ozark; four great-grandchildren, Luke Jeffery, Emma Marie and Mason Paul Wilson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Kayla Grace Woodham of Louisville, Kentucky, two sisters-in-law, Louise and Joseph DiGraziano, and Maxaline Goodson of Ozark.
