Mr. Sanford Parrish, age 75, of Ozark, died Saturday afternoon, October 10, 2009, in Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be graveside at 11:00 A. M. Monday, October 12, 2009, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A. M. Monday until time to depart for the service. Mr. Parrish was born September 20, 1934 in Dale County. He graduated from Dale County High School, and retired from Civil Service as a Federal Police Officer in 1997 following fifteen years of service. He served for a short time in the United States Army National Guard, and owned and operated Parrish Produce for over thirty years. Mr. Parrish was an avid fisherman and Auburn fan. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his Father, Woodrow Parrish. Survivors include his Mother, Alberta Sullivant Parrish of Ozark; his wife, Susan Smith Parrish of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Mike Bruhn of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Sandi Parrish of Prattville; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Sam Polo of Gretna, Louisiana, Shari and Russell Callen of Slidell, Louisiana. Ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Choice Hospice, P. O. Box 476, Elba, Alabama 36323. Service Information
