Obituary of Mary Esther Pippin

Mrs. Mary Esther Pippin, age 89, of Daleville, died early Monday morning, August 4, 2008 in Medical Center Enterprise. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, August 6, 2008, from Daleville Baptist Church with Reverend Jud Waldrop officiating. Interment will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. Pippin was born November 12, 1918 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Annie Viola Morgan Simmons and Gardner Simmons. She lived most of her early life in Samson, moving to Daleville in 1990. Mrs. Pippin worked in the textile industry in Florala and Samson for over forty years until her retirement. She was a member of Daleville Baptist Church and The Kolk Chapter of The Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pippin was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Pippin. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and James Smith of Daleville; grandchildren, Jamala and Brad Moore of Enterprise, Kendell Smith of Daleville, Stanley and Sharon Smith of Brundidge; great grandchildren, Brayton Moore and Jasmine Smith. Flowers are preferred or memorials may be made to Daleville Baptist Church, 100 Donnell Blvd., Daleville, Alabama 36322
