Mr. Zorro Morris, 68,of the Asbury Community of Ozark, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. Graveside services will be at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2009. at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Rick Patterson and Reverend Ray Kelley officiating with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Morris was born on February 10, 1941 in Dale County, where he lived his entire life graduating from Carroll High School in 1959. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and was retired from Pea River Electric Cooperative following 37 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents R.A. and Irene Morris. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Gayle Morris, Ozark; One son, Ray Morris, Ozark; One daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Dexter Day, Crestview, FL; two granddaughters, Lauren Day and Hannah Day, Crestview, FL; One brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Mary Morris, Dothan; One sister, Okalee Gunter, Dothan; several nieces and nephews also survive. Serving as Pallbearers will be Corey Baldwin, Craig Baldwin, Marshall Griggs, Sterling Hughes, Greg Nichols and Alan Tidwell. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Flowers Hospital and Covenant Hospice for their care of Mr. Morris during his illness.
