Obituary of Lonnie Evert Bishop

Mr. Lonnie Evert Bishop, 64, of Ozark, died Sunday, December 14, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, December 17, 2014, from Post Oak Baptist Church with Reverend Matthew Wright officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mr. Bishop was born November 28, 1950 in Summerset, Kentucky to William Edward Bishop and Margie Yvette Howard Bishop. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. For the past twelve years he was a driver for Billy Barnes Enterprises. He was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. Mr. Bishop was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family, doting over his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie Bishop and Elbert Bishop.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Stewart Bishop of Ozark; one daughter and her fiancé, Mandy Bishop and Mike Ricke of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny E. and Mikell Bishop of Ozark; his parents, William Edward Bishop and Margie Yvette Howard Bishop of Stanford, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Madison Bishop, Katelyn Bishop, Sydney Bishop, Kamryn Faria, Konner Thomas; one brother, James “Babe” Bishop of Bromley, Kentucky. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4108 North Union Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
