Obituary of George Raymond Bowman

1st Sergeant George Raymond Bowman (United States Army Retired) of Ozark, died early Wednesday morning, March 9, 2011, in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, March 11, 2011, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 A. M. until service time.
Mr. Bowman was born January 4, 1926 in New Jersey to the late Raymond Henry Bowman and Sarah Dagon Bowman. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II, and a veteran of the United States Army serving in The Korean Conflict and Vietnam until his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Erma Bowman; his sister, Jean Ella Bowman; and his brother, Robert Henry Bowman.
Survivors include one niece Kathleen Reinert of Auburn, Pennsylvania;
one nephew, Kip Bowman of Bangor, Pennsylvania;
and a special friend, Mae Langheld of Ozark.
The family requests the omission of flowers and memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Attn; Tribute Department, St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
