Obituary of Victor T. Ludlam

Mr. Victor Thomas "Sonny" Ludlam, age 61, of Georgetown, Florida, formerly of Ozark, died Monday, November 3, 2008 in St. Augustine, Florida. Funeral services will be 10:30 A. M. Friday, November 7, 2008 from Ozark Baptist Church with Reverend Greg Aman and Reverend Robby Paxton officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Ludlam's body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Ludlam was born February 15, 1947 in Eufaula, Alabama to the late Emily Elizabeth Leroy Ludlam and Victor Efurd Ludlam. He worked with Alabama Power Company over the state of Alabama for thirty-six years and three months, retiring September 1, 2006. He retired following twenty years of service in the United States Coast Guard Reserves. He and his wife moved from Ozark to Georgetown, Florida in 2006, where he was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Mr. Ludlam was very active in Alabama Power Union Local IBEW #796-1. Survivors include his beloved wife, Nanci Brown Ludlam of Georgetown, Florida; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Joe Moody of Georgetown, Georgia, Jennifer and Corey Miller of Munford, Alabama; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Carol Ludlam of Geneva, Christopher and Jeanette Motley of Hinesville, Georgia, and Jonathan Brown of Ozark; his Mother-In-Law, Mrs. Betty S. Brown of Ozark; his great grandmother-in-law, Gladys T. Shaffield of Ozark. eight grandchildren, Brittney, Victoria, Lindsey, Brooklyn, Devan, Christopher, Jackson, and Zackery; one great granddaughter, Emily also survives.
