Obituary of Ruth Adams Turner

Mrs. Ruth Carl Adams Turner, age 104, died Saturday morning, June 7, 2008, in Oakview Manor Nursing Facility. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, June 9, 2008, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 P. M. until service time. Mrs. Turner was born September 18, 1903 in Enterprise to the late Clyatte Luvenia Clifton Adams and William Andrew Adams. She made Ozark her home during her adult life where she and her late husband, Robert L. "Bob" Turner, owned and operated the Ozark Cafe for many years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Agnes and Herbert Casey, Jr., two grandsons, Robert Daniel Casey and John Parker Casey, and all of her siblings. Survivors include one great grandson, Christopher Saban; several nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law, O. V. Turner of Ozark, Clyde Turner of Rock Island, Illinois, and Tom Turner and his wife, Virginia of Ocean Spring, Mississippi.
