Obituary of Octavia Lindsay Richardson

Mrs. Octavia “Tavy” Richardson passed away September 26, 2015 in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation facility. She was 87 years old. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, September 28, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Mr. Dave Bates officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 P. M. until service time. Mrs. Richardson was born May 4, 1928 to the late Aaron Thomas and Lillie Dell Lindsay. She lived, farmed and raised her family in the Echo community with her husband, the late Ross Richardson before moving to Ozark. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles “Hoover” and Jenifer Richardson of Ozark; her daughter, Jan Hubbard of Dothan; her grandchildren, Zak Richardson of Charlotte, NC, Noori (Perry) Buchanan, and Kirsten Richardson of Ozark. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Zayden and Zoie Fickle, Perry David, Colton and Claudia Buchanan. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Ozark Health and Rehabilitation for the great love, affection and care they ministered to “Maw Maw” during her time with them.
