Mr. Gerald Steven Balkcom, age 49, of Ozark, died Friday Morning, May 20, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services will be 6:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, from Faith Christian Center on Lakeview Road in Ozark with Reverend Charles Littlefield officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Balkcom was born June 9, 1961 in Ozark to Yvonne Bludsworth Balkcom and the late Gerald Rex Balkcom. He was employed with Picerne Military Housing at Fort Rucker.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Ivey Balkcom.
Survivors include his wife, Mara Michelle Monk Balkcom of Ozark;
two daughters, Jessica Balkcom, Shelby Balkcom and her fiance Sean Jerrils all of Ozark;
his mother, Yvonne Bludsworth Balkcom of Ozark;
two grandchildren, RaeLynn Balkcom and Arianna Means of Ozark;
one sister and brother-in-law, Canora and Enoch Sims of Ozark;
two brothers and sister-in-law, Joey and Pam Balkcom of Gardener, Kansas, and Jeremy Balkcom of Ozark;
step father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Carolyn Gilbert;
father-in-law, Wayne Monk.
Several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.
