Obituary of Lillian Ketcham Hartzog

Mrs. Lillian Joyce Ketcham Hartzog, age 89, of Ariton, died Tuesday morning, March 23, 2010, in her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M Thursday, March 25, 2010, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend George Thompson, Jr., Reverend Joe Underwood, and Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Interment will follow in Elam Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 P. M. until service time.
Mrs. Hartzog was born September 20, 1920 in Barbour County to the late Roy Dencil Ketcham and Inez Burke Ketcham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Grady Hartzog; one sister, Grace Thompson; and two brothers Roy Ketcham and Paul Ketcham.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Nina and Allen Bullard of Columbus, Georgia;
two grandchildren, Chris Sasser of Ariton, Eve Sasser Kilpatrick and husband Pat of Columbus, Georgia;
two great grandchildren, Lillian Grace "Lilly' Kilpatrick and Paul Van Kilpatrick IV;
one sister-in-law, Mrs. Roy Burke "Myrtle" Ketcham of Ariton;
and two special extended family members, Mary Barr and Eleanor Barr of Ariton.
The family would like to thank Frazier United Methodist Church, Reverend Dr. John Ed Mathison, and The First Baptist Church of Montgomery, Reverend Jay Wolf for ten years of their television ministry. Also a special thanks to AlaCare Hospice of Troy for their care and genuine concern for our mother and grandmother.
