Obituary of Dorothy Lee Sarlis

Mrs. Dorothy "Dottie" Bussells Sarlis, age 68, of Ozark, died Sunday, February 26, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, February 29, 2012, from Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Reverend Brenda Stutz officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mrs. Sarlis was born September 17, 1943 in Kilmarnock, Virginia to the late Isaac Milton Bussells and Myrtle Davis Bussells. She attended Northumberland High School and George C. Wallace School of Cosmetology in Dothan. Mrs. Sarlis worked for Smart Style Beauty Shop in Wal-Mart in Ozark and Enterprise. She was previously a member of Bluff Point United Methodist Church, Calvary Pentecostal Church in Lottsburg, Virginia, and later Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and quilter; loved being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Andrew J. Sarlis of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Candy and John Johnson of Brundidge;two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Angela Hearold, Buddy and Christine Hearold; one sister, Louise Barton of Lottsburg, Virginia;one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Doris Bussells of Lively, Virginia; her Mother-In-Law, Mary Jenkins of Lancaster, Virginia;five grandchildren, Heather Gallaspie, Brandon Hearold, Stephanie Hearold, Jayson Hearold, and Cody Johnson;four great grandchildren, Kylie Gallaspie, Chase Gallaspie, Grayson Fuller, and Carter Hearold.
