Mr. Fred L. Hudson (U.S. Army Retired) a resident of Daleville, died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 89. Mr. Hudson was a WW II Veteran and was born in Coalburg, Alabama. The family will hold a private service Tuesday, September 17, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. CST 2:00 P.M. EST at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with United States Army Chaplain and Pastor Ted Richter officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family asks that flowers be sent to the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, Fort Mitchell, Alabama 36856. Phone: (334) 855-4731 Mr. Hudson is preceded in death by his wife Lina Hudson and sister Margaret Smith of Gardendale. He is survived by six children, Fred D. Hudson and wife Loraine Hudson of Moody; Marjorie Lockhart and husband James G. Lockhart of Hayden; Margaret Mace of Dothan, Mildred Snipes of Leeds; Ken Hudson of Daleville; Edith Parten and husband Roland Parten of Montgomery. He is also survived by four grandchildren, James G. Lockhart, Jr. of Hayden; Steve Snipes and wife Tess of Brunswick, Georgia; Jennifer Hudson of Macon, Georgia; Frank Snipes of Montgomery and Sherry Snipes of Leeds. Service Information
