Mrs. Lucy Belcher, age 79, of Ozark, died Monday, July 14, 2008, in Dale Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Wednesday evening, July 16, 2008. A memorial service for Mrs. Belcher will be held at a later date in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Mrs. Belcher was born January 14, 1929 in Clifftop, West Virginia to the late Nora Jane Moody Hiser and Robert Erskin Hiser. She moved to Tuscumbia, Alabama following her marriage to her late husband, Henry Edison Belcher. She worked at K-Mart Corporation until her retirement in 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Belcher of Opelika, and Donna Flake of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Linda Belcher of Pontiac, Michigan; one grandchild, Ami Smith and husband, Brad; three great grandchildren, Donnavin Smith, Dairian Smith, and Haili Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
