Mr. Floyd Edward Carroll, Jr., age 68, of Ozark, died early Tuesday morning, November 8, 2011, at his home following a lengthy battle with kidney cancer. Funeral services will be Friday, November 11, 2011, in Macon County, Alabama, at Salem Macon Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Brumbeloe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark Wednesday evening, November 9, 2011, from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mr. Carroll was born December 11, 1942 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama and lived most of his life in Macon County. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Vocational Education. He worked as a compositor and engineer at Dow Technology in Tallassee, Alabama. Mr. Carroll was a master carpenter and cabinet maker. In his retirement, he enjoyed wood working and wood turning. His grandchildren were very special to him and he enjoyed the time he spent with them. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Frizzell Carroll of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Stacy Harbuck of Ozark; four grandchildren, Angel Harbuck, Hunter Harbuck, Travis Harbuck, and Emilee Harbuck; one brother and sister-in-law, Rodger and Laura Carroll of Evergreen, Alabama. A host of other relatives also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, P. O. Box 291, Ozark, Alabama 36361. Service Information
