Mrs. Lorene Ford Hickman, age 87, of Ozark, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday from the Church of God by Faith in Ozark with Elder J. C. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening.
Mrs. Hickman was born April 25, 1922 to the late Reverend James H. and Sarah Freeman Ford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam H. Hickman.
She leaves one sister, Geraldine Jones of San Bernardino, California.
five sons, George (the late Iris Hickman), James (Mable), Chester, Jesse, and Goctric (Pauline);
four daughters; Christine (the late Alvin Harris), Ernestine (Deacon and Mrs. Edward Piper), Betty (Reverend and Mrs. Lionel Green), Faye (Ministers John and Faye Smith);
twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren;
a very special and devoted family friend, Mr. M. L. Harper. Many other relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
