Obituary of Jessie Milton Andrews

Mr. Jessie Milton Andrews, 87, of Ozark, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at his home. A memorial service for Mr. Andrews will be held 10:00 A. M. Monday, June 29, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark. Full Military Honors will follow the service. Mr. Andrews was born March 27, 1928 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Carlos Thomas Andrews and Ruby Pearl Simmons Andrews. Mr. Andrews served in the United States Army for over thirty years and retired with the rank of Colonel. He then worked with Civil Service until his retirement. Mr. Andrews was a 33rd Degree Mason, and a member of Ozark Lodge #349. He was a member of the Quiet Birdman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Andrews in 2001. Survivors include two daughters Mary Carolyn Sanders of Ozark, Ella Claire Andrews of Fletcher, North Carolina; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Carl Milton and Barbara Andrews of Ozark, Mark Moses Andrews of Ozark; one sister, Phyllis Griffin of Panama City, Florida; five grandchildren, Catherine Thomas, Cristi Parker (Alan), Karen Aman (Chad), Jessie Andrews, Ryan Andrews. Seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P. O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36303. .
