Mr. Nolan Reynolds Ward, 72, of Ozark, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Friday, October 5, 2012, from Chalkhead Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy West officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home in Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mr. Ward was born January 29, 1940 in Dale County to the late Joshua Ward and Mattie Lee Peacock Ward. He worked for thirty years with various aircraft maintenance contractors at Fort Rucker and retired in 2002 as an aircraft trouble shooter. Mr. Ward served in and retired from the Alabama National Guard, 131st Tank Battalion. He was a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and an usher. Survivors include his wife, Martha Sue Outlaw Ward of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Morgan Culp, their children, Drew and Mattie Culp of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Renae Ward, their children, Nate and Faith Ward of Ozark; one sister, Annette Mallory of Ozark; one brother and sister-in-law, Donnice and Reva Ward of Ozark; sister-in-law, Gloria Jean Yeomans; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, Randy and Gayle Outlaw, Jeff and Jacki Outlaw; Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to the Chalkhead Baptist Church Building Fund, 495 County Road 35, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
