Obituary of William E. Logsdon

Mr. William E. (Bill) Logsdon, Jr., of Ozark, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 A. M. Saturday, May 3, 2014, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Elder Clayton Nowell officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Bill was born November 23, 1942 in Clearwater, Florida to the late William Earl Logsdon, Sr. and Mable Jones Logsdon. He served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his retirement in 1981, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with one year of graduate work at Troy University. He began his civilian career with The Internal Revenue Audit Compliance Office, Department of the Army. He retired from civilian service in 2000. Bill enjoyed the outdoor life and was very active in competitive bass fishing tournaments. He loved being with his friends and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ryan E. Logsdon; and one sister, Joan Adams.
Bill is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 46 years, Janet (Jan) Deloney Logsdon of Ozark; two daughters, Stacy Chandler (Donnie) of Midland City and Tracy Logsdon of Washington State; two grandchildren, Natalee Chandler and Jorden Crean; two sisters, Betty Wilkins of Destin, FL and Sue Rose of St Augustine, FL; and one brother-in-law, Glen Marley Deloney. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
