Obituary of Edward Earl Garner

Mr. Edward Earl Garner, 65, of Dothan, died Thursday evening, February 26, 2015, at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, March 1, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Pastor Randy Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Ariton Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 12:30 P. M. until service time.
Mr. Garner was born September 14, 1949 in Dale County to the late Earl Bryant Garner and Lorine Childree Garner. He graduated from Pike County High School in Brundidge and then attended Troy University and later graduated from Georgia Tech with a B. A. Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Garner worked in the insurance industry and later worked with Lowe’s until becoming disabled. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and University of Alabama fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Garner, Kenneth Garner, and Tommy Morgan.
Survivors include his brother, Curtis Garner of Ozark; sisters and brother-in-law, Judy Catrett, Carolyn and Charles Turner all of Troy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Ginger Morgan of Troy, Wayne and Charlotte Morgan of Eufaula. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
