Obituary of Barbara Morris Bensema

Mrs. Barbara Morris Bensema, age 69, of Ozark, died Sunday, December 27, 2009, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 30, 2009, from St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark with Reverend Paul Egbe and Deacon John Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Bensema was born August 10, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Wilson Morris and Rose Marie Knepper Morris. She had lived in Ozark most of her life where she was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Ariton High School and Wallace Community College School of Nursing, receiving her Registered Nurse Certificate. Mrs. Bensema worked with Dr. N. W. Holman in Ozark, Edge Memorial Hospital in Troy, and Dale Medical Center until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Don Morris.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeffery Bensema of Ozark, Richard Bensema of Dothan, Scott and Mary Ann Bensema of Phenix City, Alabama;
one sister, Patricia Matthews of Tucson, Arizona;
two brothers, Mike Morris of Stansbury Park, Utah and Bill Morris of Mount Vernon, Ohio. Three grandchildren also survive.
