Mr. Bobby Lewis Peavy, age 65, of Ariton, died Tuesday morning, August 18, 2009, in Dale Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, August 20, 2009, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Celebrant Ricky Murphy speaking. Interment will follow in Universalist Cemetery in Ariton, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 P. M.
Mr. Peavy was born January 2, 1944 in Ariton, Alabama to the late Jimmy Lewis Peavy and Bonnie Beatrice Senn Peavy. He served in the United States Navy and has worked with ESMAC in Enterprise since 1990. Mr. Peavy enjoyed fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Betty Jean Nancy Peavy of Ariton;
one son, Jeff Peavy of Ariton;
and two brothers, Terry Peavy of Newville, and Larry Peavy of Ariton.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
