Obituary of William Floyd Gales

Mr. William Floyd “Buck” Gales, Jr., 66, a resident of Arlington, Washington, formerly of Alabama, died Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the home of his sister following a rough fight against cancer. A graveside memorial service will be held for Mr. Gales 5:00 P. M. Thursday, September 6, 2018, in the Westview Memorial Cemetery Chapel in Ozark with Mr. William Martin, Jr. officiating, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. Mr. Gales was born September 4, 1951 in Hamlet, North Carolina to the late William Floyd Gales, Sr. and Judith Lee Stephens. Mr. Gales served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Following his retirement, he made his home in the state of Washington. He loved to play the guitar and sing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over twenty years, Shirley June Gales and one brother, Michael Gales. Survivors include three step-sons, Rodney Goldman of Georgia, Jeffery Goldman (Jacki) of Lake Stevens, Washington and Terry Goldman of Washington State; two sisters, Margaret Hadden (Rob) of Slocomb and Laura Meacham of Enterprise. Several nieces, nephews and grandchildren also survive.
