Obituary of Judy Clark Midkiff

Mrs. Judy Clark Midkiff, age 73, of Ozark, died Monday evening, June 15, 2015, in Dale Medical Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Friday, June 19, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mrs. Midkiff was born October 26, 1941 in Big Spring, Texas. She moved to several locations with her parents Eddye Raye Lees and Jack Clark. Mrs. Midkiff moved to Dothan, Alabama with her family after graduating from Casa Grande High School in Arizona. She worked until her retirement with Civil Service at Fort Rucker. She began her lifelong hobby of bowling in Dothan in 1962. She was a member of Dothan WBA for over forty years. She served on her local WBA board for over thirty years and was president for over twelve years. Mrs. Midkiff earned many awards and recognitions for her service with Dothan WBA and their contributions to the annual BVL fund drives held annually throughout the USA. Mrs. Midkiff was also a member of Alabama WBA Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Alabama WBA in 2002. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Midkiff was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Midkiff, Sr.; a son, Carl Blair Midkiff; two brothers, Jack Clark and Harry Clark; one son-in-law, Dean Turner.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Midkiff, Jr. (Tina) of Ozark; Dan Midkiff (Sandy) of Kinsey; one daughter, Kay Turner of Slocomb; one sister, Patricia O’Saile of Enterprise; six grandchildren, Sarah Raye and Victouria (Tori) Midkiff of Ozark, Brooke (Adam) Ward of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Stacie (Josh) Newman of Ewa Beach, HI, Michael Martel of Slocomb, and Teet (Stacie) Keating of Ashford; five great-grandchildren, Carla Grace Midkiff, Bren Briggs, Aubree Barfield, Austin and Ashtin Tillis; and two great-great grandchildren; one beloved uncle, B. B. Lees of Midland, Texas; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She has a group of special friends from high school; Linda Johnson, Sharon Kiselyk, Ruthann Kroese, Janice Ethington, and Shirley Huckabay. Judy also had a special angel that helped her and her husband, Mrs. Katie Glenn.
