Obituary of Susanne Duerrich Trenkler

Mrs. Susanne Marie Duerrich Trenkler, age 74, of Daleville, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday, July 2, 2011, from the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Ozark with Pastor Stewart Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Saturday in the church from 12:30 P. M. until service time. Mrs. Trenkler was born August 5, 1936 in Germany to the late Christoph and Rosa Seeger Duerrich. She lived in various places with her husband while he served in the military, and had made her home in Daleville since 1959. Mrs. Trenkler was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Ozark, and was a member of the Dorcas Guild. She started Maytag Laundry in Daleville with her husband, and it is still in operation today. Survivors include her husband, Bruno Trenkler of Daleville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sonja and Douglas Wilhelm of Apex, North Carolina, Sabina and Alan Wilson of Alaska; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Bruno and Tamera Trenkler of Pelham, New Jersey, Martin and June Trenkler of Daleville, Thomas and Sondi Trenkler of Hendersonville, Tennessee, David Trenkler of Daleville; one brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Carol Duerrich of Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, Christa Trenkler, Benjamin Trenkler, Alexandra Trenkler, Stephen Trenkler, Kimberly Trenkler, James Trenkler, Melanie Trenkler, Noah Trenkler, Jacob Wilson, Madeline Wilson, Alan-Michael Wilson, Anneliese Wilhelm, and Julianna Wilhelm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2454 Andrews Avenue, Ozark, Alabama; or to Susan G. Komen for The Cure, Attn; Doner Service, P. O.
