Mrs. Freida Lux Rone, age 92, of Skipperville, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Thursday, October 27, 2011, from Skipperville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Freddie L. McCain officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 10:00 A. M. until service time. Interment for Mrs. Rone will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Memphis Memorial Park in Memphis,Tennessee.
Mrs. Rone was born July 28, 1919 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late John and Carrie Pavlachuck Lux. She worked with Firestone, Inc. for forty years, retiring as the only woman manufacturing supervisor.
Survivors include two sons; Jerry (Gladys) Davis of Memphis, Tennessee, Larry (Charlotte) Davis of Skipperville, Alabama and one step-son Billy Gerald (Tony) Rone;
eight grandchildren, Rebecca (David) McPeak, Jeff (Susan) Davis, Lisa (Rocky) Kness, Deborah (Douglas) Box, Stephanie Dillon, Dr. Christopher Griffin, Thomas (Jennifer) Allison and Tammy Allison;
ten great grandchildren, Dustin Box, Melanie (Michael) Eidson, Blane (Emily) McPeak, Jonnie Grooms, Ivy Grooms, Megan (Nathan) Stepp, Kim Rodriguez, Katie Rodriguez, Sarah Rodriguez, Patty Rodriguez;
three great-great grandchildren; Alyssa Stepp, Jade Stepp and Mattie Eidson
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Skipperville United Methodist Church, Children's Ministry, P. O. Box 235, Skipperville, Alabama 36374.
