Mr. Charles Mims, age 50, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Echo, died Tuesday, October 10, 2006, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be graveside 3:00 P. M. Friday, October 13, 2006, at Echo United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Mims was born July 26, 1956 in the Echo Community of Dale County, where he lived until moving to Atlanta to work with the Home Depot Corporation until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Mims was preceded in death by his father, James Junior Mims in 1991, and his sister, Alice June Mims in 1977. Survivors include his mother, Juanita Johnson Mims of Echo, one sister, Betty Mims of Echo, and his special pet and companion, Tootie. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Echo United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 8046 County Road 36, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
