Mr. James Monroe "Jim" McCraney, age 74, of Ozark, died Tuesday evening, June 10, 2008, at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, June 13, 2008, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend W. L. Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. McCraney was born January 3, 1934 in Ozark, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He served in the United States Air Force for thirty years before retiring. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Betty Phillips McCraney of Ozark; three daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie Gurley of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Diane and Ard Bell of Dothan, and Debbie and Jack Ingram of Anderson, South Carolina; four sons and daughter-in-law, Mark McCraney of Pensacola, Florida, Scott McCraney of Birmingham, Harold and Susan Andrews of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Allen Hagler of Atlanta. Ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
