Obituary of Mary Woodham Morott

Mrs. Mary Woodham Morott, age 94, of Ozark, died Wednesday morning, October 20, 2010, in Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, October 22, 2010, from Mount Carmel United Methodist Church with Adrian Holman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Thursday. Mrs. Morott was born March 26, 1916 in the Ewell Community to the late Gillum David Woodham and Annie Lenorah Peacock Woodham. Growing up she and her family attended Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Morott; three sisters, Martha Jane Byrd, Jennie Baker, and Priscilla Griggs; and twelve brothers, Cowin Woodham, Guy Woodham, Charlie Woodham, Hoyt Woodham, Perry Woodham, Pryor Woodham, John Woodham, Jart Woodham, Joseph Woodham, Robert Woodham, Plinty Woodham, and Seaborn Woodham. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Lenora and Weldon Franklin of Weston, Texas, Priscilla Baker of Rowlett, Texas; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph T. Morott of Ozark, Michael J. and Teresa Morott of Princeton, Texas, Timothy P. Morott of Slagle, Louisiana, and John S. Morott of Ozark; fourteen grandchildren, Wanda Childers, Jamie Morott, Joey Morott, John Morott, Jennie Baker, Erick Baker, Mary Baker, Ryan Morott, Lisa Morott, Sarah Means, Joe Morott, Joshua Morott, Tim Morott and Gerald Sutton; one step-grandson, Lede Blevins; eight great grandchildren, Jason Sutton, Chris Sutton, Garrett Morott, Alex Morott, Caleb Morott, John Morott, Destiny Morott, and J. Alexander Morott; five great-great grandchildren, Paisley Sutton, Abby Metcalf, Joshua Sutton, Emma Grantham, and Jade Peavy; two sisters-in-law, Mary Wolonice of McAdoo, Pennsylvania and Lillian Woodham of Ozark. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
