Obituary of David Harold Senn

Mr. David Harold "Roadway" Senn, age 64, of Ariton, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 7, 2007, from Center Ridge Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Marler and Chaplain Don Grantham officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at their home, 3025 County Road 72 in Ariton, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P. M. Friday evening. Mr. Senn was born January 11, 1943 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Jenny Bell Powell Senn and Gordon Davis Senn. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Jimmy Enfinger Construction, Lee Deloney Land Clearing, and was working with Danny Williams Construction when he became disabled due to lung cancer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Senn was preceded in death by one sister, Myrtle Carter, and two brothers, Wayne Senn and Gordon Senn, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Joann Senn of Ariton, one daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Steve Langston of Dahlonega, Georgia, two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Cindy Senn, Jerry and Nicole Senn, all of Jack, Alabama, five stepchildren, Robert and Sandra Smith, Barbara and William Senn, Charlie and Mary Alice Smith, Debbie and Harrison Sapp, and Marvin and Kim Smith, five brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Peggy Senn, John and Rachael Senn, Daniel and Sara Senn, A. B. and Joann Senn, and Grover Senn, all of Ariton, two sisters, Edna and Andy Eastman of Dothan, Kathy and Audrey Skinner of Enterprise. 10 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, and 8 step-great grandchildren also survive.
