Obituary of Jimmie D. Ragan

Mr. Jimmie Daniel Ragan, age 94, of Ozark, died Saturday evening, December 8, 2012, in Flowers Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend William Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:30 P. M. until service time.
Mr. Ragan was born November 6, 1918 in Dale County to the Late Nicholas Franklin Ragan and Mollie Inmon Ragan. He worked as a truck driver in the timber industry, and also worked in the road building industry, assisting in building roads in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Pearl Gunter Ragan in 2003.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jimmie and Robert Hollis of Headland, Martha and James Chancellor of Coffee Springs;
five grandchildren, Lee Hollis, Mike Chancellor, Craig Chancellor, Donna Scheuerman, and Ann Kring;
one half-brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Debbie Ragan of Columbus, Georgia.
Numerous great grandchildren also survive.
