Obituary of Malcolm K. Peters

Malcolm Kenneth Peters, age 65, of Ozark, died Friday morning, April 2, 2010, at his home following a three-year battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend William Hart, Reverend Isom Hill, and Reverend Timothy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Active and honorary pallbearers will be the Wednesday Lunch Bunch. The family will receive friends at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Monday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Malcolm was born July 23, 1944 in Ozark to the late Lewis and Ida Peters. He attended Ariton School and lived the majority of his life on family land that he dearly loved. Malcolm loved driving a truck, which he did for over 30 years. He always had a garden and touched the lives of many people by generously sharing the fruits and vegetables God allowed him to grow. His determination to share his faith in his Saviour Jesus Christ with everyone was a driving force in his life.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Gayle Crumpler Peters of Ozark;
three daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Ralph Meacham of Ozark, Katina and Greg Chalmers of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mia and Jason Jones of Ozark;
two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Shannon Peters of Montevallo, Alabama, Chris and Nicole Peters of Ozark;
two sisters, Sarah Byrd and Earline Beasley of Ozark;
three brothers, Horace Peters, Wilford Peters, and Toby Peters all of Ozark.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Grant and Lance Meacham, Emma and Evan Peters, and Slade Jones, all of Ozark, and Reagan Chalmers of Calgary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
