Obituary of Flora Myrl Carroll

Miss Flora Myrl Carroll, age 95, of Ozark, died Monday morning, July 7, 2008 in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Greg Aman officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. Tuesday afternoon. Miss Carroll was born May 11, 1913 in Dale County to the late Annie Eunice Harris Carroll and Strawther James Carroll. She worked with the Auburn Cooperative Extension Service in Ozark for 41 years until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Ozark Baptist Church and the Lydia Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Miss Carroll was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma C. Martin of Enterprise, Peggy B. Clifton of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Martha Grace Carroll Snell of the Asbury Community; two brothers, Max L. Carroll of Brantley, Alabama, and Dexter Carroll of New York. Survivors include eight nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Attn.: Tribute Department, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
