Carolyn Davis Fleming Carolyn Davis Fleming, 80, passed away at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center on Monday, October 15, 2012, after a brief illness. She died peacefully surrounded in love and prayers by her family. Mrs. Fleming was born near the town of Clio, AL to Rexie Ree Davis and Esther Jane Lavender Davis. After graduating from high school, she moved to Birmingham, AL where she met and married her first husband, Robert Earl Bailey, Sr. During their marriage, they lived in San Francisco, CA, Santa Cruz, CA and then San Antonio, TX where he passed away in 1963. She later reunited with and married her childhood sweetheart, William Merton Fleming, in July of 1965. They and their blended family lived in Fort Walton Beach, FL for 12 years and Destin, FL for 36 years. Besides being a devoted mother and wife, Mrs. Fleming was also an accomplished businesswoman. She co-owned and was president of Coastal Materials, Inc. and Coastal Materials of Alabama, Inc. where she worked for over 30 years. She is survived by brother and spouse, James Davis (Martha); sister in-law, Ruth Davis; children and spouses: Robert E. Bailey, Jr. (Gail), Daniel A. Bailey (Mary Kaye), David R. Bailey (Terri), Russell D. Bailey (EJ), Rhonda F. Cetkosky (Frank) and Michael E. Fleming (Julianna); grandsons: Erik Bailey, Timothy Bailey, Jason Cetkosky, Randy Cetkosky, Rex Bailey, Benjamin Bailey, Michael Fleming, Joshua Bailey and Matthew Bailey; granddaughters: Rachel Groner, Rachelle Fleming, Montana Rivas, Jody Rivera, Danielle Bailey and Meagan Bailey; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert E. Bailey and William M. Fleming; parents, Rexie and Esther Davis; brother, Joseph Davis; and son, William M. Fleming Jr. Visitation will be in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, Fort Walton Beach, FL starting at 9:30 AM on Friday, October 19th. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will be conducted at Salem Baptist Church in Skipperville, AL at 4:30 PM also on Friday,October 19, 2012, with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Flowers are welcome.
