Mr. Charlie Cotton, age 78, of Ozark, died Saturday evening, September 4, 2010, in Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Monday evening. Mr. Cotton was born June 18, 1932 in Covington County to the late Charlie H. and Hattie Lee Dean Cotton. He worked at Fort Rucker as an aircraft mechanic until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed farming, gardening, and selling produce. He was an avid Alabama fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Cotton, and his grandson, Colby Lance Cotton. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ruby Childree Cotton of Ozark; one daughter, Cheryl A. Cotton of Houston, Texas; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Ronnie Cotton of Ozark, Mike and Debbie Cotton of Hartford, Larry Cotton and Darrell Cotton of Ozark; five grandchildren, Christy Harris, Sarah Mevli, Jake Cotton, Cheryl E. Cotton, and Charlee Cotton; four great grandchildren, Allen Holmes, Mary Mevli, Micah Mevli, and Gavin Harris. Service Information
