Obituary of Ruby Scarborough Wells

Mrs. Ruby Scarborough Wells, age 94, of Ozark, died early Sunday morning, November 14, 2010, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, November 17, 2010, from Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Freddy Averett officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 1:00 P. M. until service time. Mrs. Wells was born May 13, 1916 in Blue Springs to the late James Franklin Scarborough and Mary Quenette Medley Scarborough, the youngest of ten children. She was a homemaker and the last remaining member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church. In fact, she was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church for 68 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Max Wells; her daughter, Pam Wells Sheffield; her sons-in-law, Jimmy Sheffield and Ronnie Robbs; and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Rhoda Robbs of Chattanooga, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kate and Todd Benson of Ozark, Bryan and Katy Sheffield of Dothan, Ron and Donna Robbs of Chattanooga, and Wes and Vicki Robbs of Orlando. Eight great grandchildren, seventeen nieces and nephews also survive. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Sheffield, Charles Holman, Stan Garner, Todd Benson, Ron Robbs, Bryan Sheffield, and Wells Garner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Religious and Historical Association, 401 South County Road 20, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
