I'm deeply sorry to learn the passing of my friend Eddie. I've known for several years but was unable to put into words my feelings. We were both members of the CHS Jr. ROTC Drill Team. We were also stationed together at Lowry AFB Denver Colorado September and October of 1973. Eddie had a wonderful sense of humor and had everyone laughing during drill team practice. We were providing Honor Guard Detail for Homecoming 1972. I missed an important part in the ceremony which could've cause embarrassment to the Queen and Court. Thanks to Eddies quick thinking he took charge by giving the command to save the night. Great job Eddie! As I earlier indicated Eddie and I were in the AF. He left after his tour of duty but I stayed on to make the military my career. Over the years I saw less and less of him especially when I was home on leave. Now....... well now..... I miss you Eddie.

Although my family and I had moved away from the neighborhood in Ozark in 1973, I had never forgotten what a wonderful person Eddie was. A young man that was several years older than me, yet treated me with great respect. To this day, I still appreciate that.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. How sad it is to lose a loved one in death. The Bible speaks of death as an enemy that will soon be brought to nothing. May you draw comfort and strength from the promise at Revelation 21:3,4 where it says in part, "God will wipe all tears from their eyes and death will be no more." Mr. Hood is now in God's memory with the hope of benefitting from the promises that will be fulfilled under God's Kingdom arrangement.
