Obituary of Linda Still Parker

Mrs. Linda Still Parker, of Ozark, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the University of South Alabama Medical Center following a short illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend William Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 9:30 A. M. until service time. Linda was born November 14, 1937 in Dothan, Alabama. She was the second daughter of Sanford Cumbie Still and Stella Benton Still. A graduate of Ashford High School, Mrs. Parker was employed with Holman Tractor Company for a number of years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Linda was talented in needlepoint, acrylic, oil, and china painting. Her painting mentor and friend is Mrs. Sara Young of Opp, Alabama. Survivors include her husband of 44 plus years, Stanley Parker of Ozark; one daughter, Liesl P. Strength (Steve) of Ozark; one son, Alan Parker (Cristi) of Ozark; three sisters, Carolyn Ezell (Lewie) of Dothan, Sarah Moorer (James) of Dothan, and Martha Ann Still of Mobile, Alabama; three grandchildren, Taylor Strength, Brady Strength and David Parker; brother-in-law, William Glenn Parker (Rebecca) of Montgomery; one nephew, Bill Ezell; one niece, Robin Causey; one grandnephew, William Ezell; and two grandnieces, Paige Causey and Amy Ezell. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association or to The American Heart Association. Service Information
