Obituary of Imogene Phillips Hinshaw

Mrs. Imogene Phillips Hinshaw, age 62, of Ozark, died Sunday morning, January 11, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, January 14, 2009, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Pastor Paula Bond officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. Hinshaw was born January 26, 1946 in Jefferson County, grew up in Blount County, and had lived in various locations of Alabama. Mrs. Hinshaw had worked at Vivian B. Adams School and with Volunteers of America. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Phillips, and her stepfather, Robert G. Chastain. Survivors include her mother, Florence Chastain of Daleville; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mike Hollister of Newton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Wayne Brewer of Daleville, and Jonathan and Mary Brewer of Graceville, Florida; the father of her children, Carlton Brewer of Daleville; one sister, Shirley Malone of Oneonta, Alabama; one brother, David M. Phillips of Daleville; six grandchildren, Michael Hollister, Hayden Hollister, Brandon Brewer, B. J. Hughes, Amy Hughes, and Jonathan E. Brewer, Jr. six great grandchildren; and her dear friends, Gertrude, Cathrine, Shay, and Linda - whose friendship was greatly appreciated. Service Information
