Obituary of Joseph D. Overstreet

Mr. Joseph Dewey "Joe" Overstreet, age 42, of Ozark, died Friday evening, June 15, 2012, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Floyd Ingram officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mr. Overstreet was born October 2, 1969 in Tampa, Florida where he graduated from high school. Joe was a "jack of all trades". He worked as a welder in Tampa and worked with a lawn care service after moving to Ozark. He was an avid Florida Gator fan who loved to fish and enjoyed all outdoor activities. Joe was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Pettus Palmer. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Kelli Elana Farr Overstreet of Ozark;one daughter, Harley Babcock of Ozark; one son, Dylan Babcock of Ozark; his father and step-mother, Joe and Sarah Overstreet of Ozark; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Vanessa and David Skaggs of Mayfield, Kentucky, Kelly Sue Overstreet and Chris Geiger of Lake City, Florida, Diana Overstreet of Tampa, Florida; one brother, David Overstreet of Luverne, Alabama.
