Obituary of Oscar Ardis Hartzog

Mr. Oscar Ardis Hartzog, age 91, of Ariton, died Thursday evening, April 29, 2010, in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, May 3, 2010, from Center Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Marler officiating. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, JoAnn Senn, in Ariton Sunday from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M.
Mr. Hartzog was born December 2, 1918 in Coffee County to the late Jim and Sally Miller Hartzog. He was a life-long resident of Ariton and was engaged in sawmill work. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Sasser Hartzog Wright.
Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Senn of Ariton;
one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Marilyn Hartzog of Mobile.
Seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
